i feel so turned off by the
"Intel Celeron 2 ghz processor"

does only the 4gb model have the m.2 slots?

Core count doesnt matter because the Intel IGP is doing the hardware acceleration to transcode. If you want a high core count NAS and arent looking to break the bank, you have to build it yourself
