The PS5 version is out of stock until August, but I checked and the PS4 version includes the free upgrade.

This is finally the price I'm going to bite at. Although if you're on the fence, it's probably coming to Game Pass / PS+ soon enough.

Better to buy the physical and then it goes on PS+ vs digital where you can't sell it.

Neither this game is complete hack and slash garbage. Wish I didn't waste my money on it. Not like any Final Fantasy out there.

The fact that includes jobs and actual equipment already means it's more strategic than 16

Was severely disappointed by Xvi. Is this better?
Ouch I've been hearing lots of mixed things about 16 almost like it's 13 and 15 combined.

Ff16 is great if you like story and action, but if you prefer olds school combat of final fantasy then you might not like it. Also game story is long, reminds me of mgs4 of long. I love the game, there's a demo out just try it if you don't like it no sweat.

I'm enjoying it, currently a lil more than half way through. Would give it a 8/10,The gameplay is fun and at times challenging. The strategy really lies in the combat with timing of dodges and general flow of combos. There isn't a block till more than half way through.

It just takes a big step back by being very linear compared to 15 with level design, equipment and more. In my opinion, wouldn't pay full price...I scored it for $50 the week of, got lucky.

It's a bad skin of Final Fantasy laid over Nioh, and the worst of either series.

It's easy button-mashing even on Chaos difficulty, and the gameplay so uninteresting that I recommend you play on Story just to get it over with faster.

I like 13 and 15 isn't bad either. So maybe 16 is ok. But at price of $69.99, I won't bite it. I 'd rather play other final fantasy game for a while till it drops to like $30.

Smart decision. I got it day one but that's only cause I had best buy credit dropping it to 20. I usually wait for stuff to go on sale. Even so I still haven't touched it since I bought it. My litte brother is playing it daily though.

You could beat 16 fairly easily using an NES controller if you map square to A and circle to B (for mobs), r1 to B (for large enemies and bosses). The only point of using combos, special attacks, and limit break is to get through weak sponge enemies faster.

There is no depth whatsoever and the combat is comically easy. Opening doors is more strategic than combat because you either press x or hold r2. With patience you can kill most enemies just tapping square. There are no elements, status changes, etc. Your party does nothing and cannot ever die. There are three stats in the whole game: atk, def, hp.

Side quests are ripped straight from XIV (get this, kill that, kill that then get the things).
