It should, but be aware if you're MS account is not managed by Amazon now, it will be after using this. If you're fine with using Amazon to manage your subscription, then it should extend it. It often takes 5-10 minutes to fully show in your Amazon subscription settings.
Mine is managed via Amazon and I just did it and it showed two separate for about 10 minutes, but it just switched and extended by 15 months.
Wish I read your comment before purchasing. I got a deal last year with Newegg and it doesn't stack with that

None that I've found. Got a good deal years ago via Amazon (around $40 per year for family) so stacked them to get the 5 years (which I believe is max). I just occasionally increased as I see a good deal. This is really $50 for 15 months (the $70-$20 gift card and you get 3 extra months). So it's really $40 for $12 months. Plus they stack, as I just bought two to add to my almost year left.
ETA: Biggest issue is you can't really take advantage of deals from other sites as sometimes Newegg and others have similar good deals.
Is this worth buying over a 2019 version that could be good for years? Just curious what might be a better deal
The perpetual version costs $240 and it is for one device. This can be used for up to 6 people, 5 devices each. Plus each person gets 1 TB of OneDrive storage. If it's just you and single device, the perpetual version might make sense. When you start involving other people, the subscription starts looking a lot better. Like another poster, I was able to stack to 5 years a while back. I've never spent more than $60/year on this.

Sold! Thanks for this info. I thought it'd be more worth to just buy a 2019 license but for the whole family to use their own accounts on multiple devices is what sold me
For those worried about missing deals with other vendors like newegg, I ran into that 2 years ago and sat on my newegg purchased renewal code till a month ago when my Amazon managed sub expired. From what I recall Microsoft won't delete your data for up to 14-30 days, so as long as you use any codes you are sitting on right after it expires you will be fine. Overall it is a pain, but not terrible

Can you please explain what you mean by "it doesn't stack with that"? I got a Newegg deal before, did you mean that if I get this deal, it would start from now and not add on to what my expiration currently is? Thanks.

If that is the case I'll probably wait for a Newegg deal to renew.

I have it online version and have noticed there are many features available for the online version that are not available on the desktop version. For example, one feature that I use of an online version of Word is that I can transcribe meeting recordings into the text/word document which I don't find on the desktop version. There are several other features that are available only on the online version. Plus, they have Copilot assistant which I believe is going to be online only and I don't think it'll be available for the desktop version.
I had an existing 365 subscription managed by amazon that was due to expire in June 2024, so I purchased this deal to extend my subscription. Did I mess up by activating this new purchase. I thought it would extend the subscription but now I have two subscriptions in the "manage my subscriptions" amazon portal. the original with the June 2024 expiration and now another with an October 2024 expiration. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have Prime and I can't buy it at this price.
