Mine went through. I missed the Amazon deal a few hours ago, honestly happy to give my money directly to Western Digital.

Price matched it at Best Buy and picked it up locally.

Is it okay to put this on PCIe 3.0 motherboard?
Yes, backwards compatible. Easy Google question.

WD created a support ticket about refunding the $23 difference from last night's price and have to wait a couple of hours to hear back. Hopefully they will refund.
Thanks, after reading your post I went and did the same. Fwiw the agent that helped me said they should approve the price match since it's within 30 days (not sure if that applies only to price changes at WD and not competitors).

They do, however when i tried it this morning and entered the 10% off coupon the drive went up to a regular price. So adding the coupon to an on-sale item switches to a regular price which is a bummer ;(.
Yeah i tried that before with another purchase. If the item special priced then you cant really use the discount code (or the discount code will be applied to the original price)...

God damn it. Don't really need one but bought one. 10% cashback helped me pulled trigger.

Can you put this in a enclosure and make it portable? Usb-c?

Samsung 980 has had issues. I'd get this one, which I got the 4TB one and it's great.

Tried paying with PayPal and it wasn't going to deduct anything. Also at the top of the checkout page it says, "PayPal payment method is not available right now, please choose an alternative payment option." Sigh...........
I had to create WD account for PayPal payment method to show up during checkout. I think they are having issues with guest checkout not showing PayPal payment method perhaps?

Trying to buy one myself but with an MSI board, some folks are having issues recognizing this SN850X NVMe drive. Anyone know if this issue is fixed with any firmware updates?

Is anyone else having issues, especially with newer MSI boards?

Long running thread ... from WD's forums ...

People really need to stop harping on the Samsung 980 "issues"

Resolved last year at worst. Nothing you're buying today would have the issue from 20/21.

Well I don't feel AS bad about getting it at basically $270 now then...

I did login to PayPal on the app. Clicked on Deals. Clicked on Western Digital. Popup said I'd receive 12.5% back. Logged into WD. Clicked on the SSD. Added to cart. Tried to pay with PayPal. But it brought up the full price, no discount and offered to complete the order which I obviously didn't. Hate wasting so much time on these deals which fall through. Wasted over an hour of my time for nothing.
