Mine went through. I missed the Amazon deal a few hours ago, honestly happy to give my money directly to Western Digital.

Samsung 980 has had issues. I'd get this one, which I got the 4TB one and it's great.
That was a firmware issue, which didn't affect the 980 Pro's that I have. Updating the firmware reportedly fixed the problem

WD created a support ticket about refunding the $23 difference from last night's price and have to wait a couple of hours to hear back. Hopefully they will refund.
I did it via chat and got the difference--it will be refunded to my CC eventually. For two drives!

You could be saying the same thing next month.
My first NVMe drive was a Samsung 950 Pro, bought in 2016 or 17 Over $300 for a 512 gb!!!!

Sold it two years ago for $100 to some sucker. Even then, it was worth maybe $50!

Discounting reliability and support...
I have 2 Adata drives including this one and a sn770, this new one's crazy fast faster than the 770, the 770's faster in gaming and full drive movements than the 850's, both work flawlessly. also set up 2 other people's machines with Adata's gaming drives, all's is perfect. We always hear about the horror stories but not the other 99 or 99.9% that didn't have a problem.

I have had numerous SATA SSDs from ADATA fail. While I cannot speak for the nvme drives, it's not a great track record for longevity on my end. Ymmv but buyer beware ADATA.

Last year, from the forums where the issue is first massively reported, 980 PRO issue could be related to the photoresist issue in 2021 and early 2022 and it is a hardware issue may NOT be fully fixed by firmware. In addition, SN850X is better than 980Pro in terms of performance and thermal control. The deal is just better than the current 980 PRO $100 deal in every perspective.

Can you put this in a enclosure and make it portable? Usb-c?
Wouldn't that be a waste of the speed of this drive?
