Great deals, love our moccamaster. I definitely recommend the kbt over one of these models as the heater will cook your coffee if you leave it on too long. The kbt has the new style insulated carafe and the adjustable basket for different batch sizes. We have black, but gifted my FIL. A stone gray one and it looks amazing. https://a.co/d/dN0eQU3

Great deal. It's my favorite model. Has the adjustment on the drip basket. If I didn't already have three of these I'd be on this in an instant.

Have had a slightly older version glass carafe Moccamaster for 7-8 years and love it. Make coffee dailly. Highly recommended

I bought this same model in 2018 at full price. It's still going strong, used every day and the price was worth it back then. If drip coffee is part of your daily morning routine, I would highly recommend it.

Was planning to get the refurb beetroot when it came back in stock, but decided to pull the trigger on this one instead since it's only $10 more. Thanks for the heads-up, OP!

I think the carafe is definitely more practical but aesthetically I prefer the glass version. I also don't have issues with it cooking my coffee because it never sits that long.

Those have the cheapest abs plastic pieces on them. Happily sold my Technivorm and got a breville precision brewer - far superior quality and design.

Does the adjustable basket fix the problem where the water doesn't cover all the grounds unless you stir it? I know they came out with an "improved" drip arm that was supposed to fix this, but it didn't do anything helpful for me.

I love the coffee pot, but it kills me that I have to stir my grounds to get them fully saturated in water. If I don't do this, some beans will never get any water on them.

Am I doing something wrong?

No, it just changes the flow rate for different batch sizes. Also, while it may not be ideal that it doesn't perfectly wet everything, I never stir my grounds and my coffee is still great. I would recommend just not looking and if your coffee is still good, just going with it.

Agreed. Glass version looks way better, and if you want a carafe, just pour it over once it's brewed.

Just seems like wasted grounds… so much time and money spent to get the perfect ratios and a $300 coffee pot can't get all the beans wet lol

For those of us who don't know the difference, what make this one better?

Not sure about his reasoning but the KBGV doesn't seem to be SCA certified. I'd go with this, solely for that.

I am surprised by this. I have a Beville Precision Brewer and was considering going the other direction. The plastic quality is poor on mine and is already failing. The lid for the carafe has a horrible design and is impossible to clean. I had to drill holes in the top to rinse it out.

It makes good coffee, I figured the Moccamaster would be similar in quality but more durable.
