I concur. Look around. Some good deals to be had right now. Today I found PETG for under $12. ASA, PC, Nylon and TPU for under $20. Wood PLA for $16. Some good brands too, like Polymaker and Sunlu. Generic PLA for $16 is not really that hot.

You may be right. Sorry I forgot to mention, I was talking about the PLA. The normal and silk versions of PLA which OP posted in comparison. Found bunch in normal prices for 13 a kg in multiple colors that are not bad in quality, and on sale they go below 10 a kg (monoprice had red and black recently for under $10 a 1kg with free shipping)

Oh I misread haha. Yeah I hope it stays like this or become cheaper. Id love to reuse the plastic from misprints I saved up, but that stuff looks complicated and not worth the effort.
Didn't know Wood PLA was a thing, this is interesting!

Yeah, wood PLA is definitely cool and makes your prints look and feel like no other material. Sanding is also very easy compared to regular filament.

How do you reuse the material from failed prints?

Its basically recycling the plastic - melting it and shaping it to the filament size and respooling it but according to youtube tutorials, making this tool is more complicated and result is not worth the effort put into for the purpose.

I agree with the 2 users talking about the prices. $13 for 1000grams or $25 for 2 tone/color shift. This is normal pricing.
