Most dash cams will have difficulty clearly capturing license plates under majority of conditions. I'm happy to be proven wrong, and I'll happily buy the ones that can.

My recommendation is if your dash cam records audio, read the license plate out loud if you can.

N2 probably my fav dash cam to update. i love the dual cams. Apparently the thieves loved it too cuz they smashed my car window and took it lol

I have the older one that can take only up too 64 GB SD card. Can this take higher than that?

Mine is working well, it records the map, mph etc, if you do any DoorDash/Uber, you might need to consider it.

I've tried dash cams before but none can hang onto the windshield in the hot Texas sun. Anyone have experience with these in hot climates?

So far dash cams have come in handy in two accidents where the other party just outright lied to their insurance about what happened. One was a sideswipe where we were stopped and the other was a rear end. I'm both cases it was this brand. The n2 and the e2 respectively. Great dashcams!

I started off with vantrue dashcams years ago, didn't last long. Ended up switching to viofo.

Speaking from personal experience, having that rear camera is going to make things easy for your insurance in case you get rear ended. Also, you might save someone else's ass in the event of a chain reaction car crash. (Ask me how I know)

I wouldn't go with a front+rear 2 channel, as running that wire is going to be a bitch (unless you're driving a wrangler/gladiator/bronco & can run the wire along the roll bar)... Not to mention you run the risk of interfering with side curtain airbags.

Pixel phones are soon to have a dashcam feature built in. I suppose we will need to buy a special mount for the phone to hang high but boy will this be nice!
