Most dash cams will have difficulty clearly capturing license plates under majority of conditions. I'm happy to be proven wrong, and I'll happily buy the ones that can.

My recommendation is if your dash cam records audio, read the license plate out loud if you can.

N2 probably my fav dash cam to update. i love the dual cams. Apparently the thieves loved it too cuz they smashed my car window and took it lol

I got the E2 with the obd2 hard wire kit during prime day.

Install was pretty straight forward. Helps a lot if you have a interior trim tool.

Video quality is very good for the front and the rear facing. I can read the license plates too. One down side is it's not 60fps but 30fps.

I love Vantrue N2Pro and have tried and tested many. One thing I cant stress enough to you all is to get a good HIGH ENDURANCE MICRO SD CARD. There is a big difference. If you dont a normal micro SD card could and likely will fail on a major impact. It only costs a little more.....but what good is a dash cam if the memory card fails to record.

Help me choose!

N2 pro on ebay for $110 - Cheaper, Doesn't have to wire to the back, 2.5k front but only 1080p rear. Possibly bulky. Has view of passengers which is a negative.


or E2 dual for $154- 2.5k Both. have to hardwire, look sleeker, and nice, the most expensive out of the 3.


or X4S Duo $130. 4k front, 1080p rear, Have to hardwire, doesn't look that nice.

Viofo a139 pro. Only cam to use starvis 2 that captures plates really well. Utube some reviews.
