My recommendation is if your dash cam records audio, read the license plate out loud if you can.

I also have used the Sandisk High Endurance 256GB more than 2 years without any issues neither.
If you apply the 3M sticky tape to the windshield glass (not to the electrostatic sticker) correctly, it's very very hard to remove it even with force.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B6PY7WGX
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QQCFLBC I got at $40 but seems higher now
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09P596NSH front only
Prices on these fluctuate a lot, and very often they're $100 with a 50% coupon, or $90 with a $40 coupon, etc. And they pop up and disappear, so if you're in no rush just search on Amazon for "4k dashcam" and sort by price/prime and look. Again I don't know what coolaid thing I'm missing but there's no real reason to spend more than $60 on a dashcam. Ever.

Thanks for the link. And no, I'm not in a rush. So I'll keep checking until I find a good deal.
Look up the street guardian, pricey but Australians love that brand.
I'm trying to understand the install. I see in some youtube install videos for DashCams that people hardwire/solder the dashcam in the top-front of the car (where for me the Suburu Eyesight electronics are maybe?).
If doing that, would be using this:
https://www.amazon.com/VIOFO-Hard...09MRVP2P
Why does it look like it has a connection to USB-C as well?
or can you just use something like this instead , that some people mentioned on this thread, and then not need to hardwire/solder anything at all?
https://dongar.tech/products/10pi...xus-toyota
Not sure where terminology like fuse-taps comes in. Seems needed with the VIOFO hardwire kit according to some comments there.
if anyone can explain the different install options, and maybe just link a Youtube video for each style of install that would be just grrrrrrreat.
