Same with the recent Lord Of The Rings, no digital copy.

And they did start expiring all old digital codes a few months back. Additionally going forward their movies will only come with codes for the initial release or maybe the first year and the codes all expire after two years.
I think they're working to assure they're getting more dollars per title by providing the code when the disc first comes out and is selling for $20. But come time for the price to drop to $10 no more code or the code is expired and you have to spend $10 more if you want digital thus still $20 total.
Or even better give them $20 a month in perpetuity for (HBO) Max.

I've bought other movies with codes that were even 4-5 years past the expiration date with no issue, but with one recent WB movie I missed the expiration date by a few months and the code was no good.
