Anyone have issues connecting to it? Haven't been able to connect my damn phone to the device to get started. Tried everything. Changing Wi-Fi. Turning off 5. Only using 2.4. Took out all special characters in the password. Can't get back step 1. Sending data/connecting to device. So frustrating
It shouldn't be that hard. Using an iPhone 14max to do it but haven't no luck. Using Xfinity internet

edit: also try to bring just the robot closer to your router, at least for the initial setup. I had to do this with my ecovacs x1 Omni junk edition.

What they dont have is the clean/refill and lift the mop, and powerful suction like the roborock. I honestly think prices on these vacs will be in the $500 in the 6 months on sale prices. Maybe even by black friday or Xmas.
I do agree they are a huge QOL improvement which is why I love them, but trying to justify one vac which costs more than 2X the cost of both my previous robots combined is the sticking point, really going to need to be wowed when the Q Revo shows up.

This also depends on what your floor plan is and what type of flooring you have along with what type of usage you have Kids/Pets/Dust and other movement in your house.
I have the original Roborock V1 that I purchased in 2017 (lighting in the box?) and with little kids at that time we were vacuuming at least once a day manually as we had carpets. The vacuum at that time made it possible to do the manual cleanup to once a week while running the bot everyday or twice a day on certain spots.
I just did a house renovation and now the main floor only has LVP (Vinyl Planks) so in addition to vacuuming we need something that mops and the Revo/L10S fit the bill perfectly. I purchased the L10S based on online reviews and YouTube reviews and if it works the way its advertised it should help a lot for QOL. With the auto clean it looks to be a few weeks that it would need to be refilled etc so lets see and even though its a lot of a unit but getting in the affordable price range as it was $650+Tax. Other than the Revo the 7mavproultra or whatever was the best but was almost double the price.

I've been following robot vac tech and prices the past few years - you'll only get lower prices when a company releases a model at a specific low price (Revo) and then put it on sale. You might get lucky with a refurb unit that goes on sale with a coupon on eBay, but then you're dealing with a potential bad refurb.
Your main hope is if iHome releases a budget robovac that has all of those features. But at the moment, nothing really beats Roborock with performance and features.
The L10S Ultra for $650 was the best value S-tier robot vac during prime day but too bad Slickdeals mods wouldn't allow it to be posted.

The last time I tried that ultimately worked, I connected to the Roborock network in the wifi settings and then I waited maybe another 20-30 seconds before switching back to the Roborock app and then it was able to connect. I also read someone suggest turning off the phone's cellular connection before attempting to connect.

You can do a side-by-side comparison of the two models on the Roborock website here: https://us.roborock.com/pages/rob...er-compare
