Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

I have a pixel 6a and this Moto edge. Other than the updates, the Moto is a much better daily driver. I've been using it since December and have found it perfectly capable. The screen is impressive and bright. The camera has a larger main sensor than my galaxy S 22, and although the software is weaker, it takes really nice photos that look great even printed out at 8.5 by 11. The speakers are much better than my galaxy or iPhone. The media Tech is surprisingly responsive, although obviously not as fast as the snapdragon in the Edge plus. It's very lightweight and feels nicely balanced in the hand. I'm sure others will disagree vehemently, but I heartily recommend this phone at this price.

The megapixel count isn't what matters on modern smartphones. It's just a marketing figure. The AI software that's processing the photo is what matters. Also, the quality of the sensor is more important than the pixel count. The Pixel 7 line only has a 50MP camera and it's tied with Samsung and Apple's flagships for the best photos. Moto has inferior software than the leading manufacturers. Moto has a phone with a 200MP camera, yet it takes inferior photos to even the Pixel 5's 12MP camera. Depending on what you're documenting, the Moto may still be fine, though. It's not like the photos will be a completely blurry mess. They just won't look as crisp and photogenic.

Motorola = no updates. Just be ready to throw the phone away when majority of the apps won't work due to outdated OS.
What are you talking about? I have cheap phones that are stuck in like android 9 are all of my apps work (Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, clash of clans, Google maps, etc.)
It's true that Motorola is not as good with updates as google or Samsung but I prefer a stable version than buggy updates that can cause issues *cough* pixel *cough*

Most phones have esims now... my s22 ultra US variant has esim and regular sim. I'm currently using esim which means I don't have a physical sim anymore but if I wanted a 2nd number I could easily do it with the physical sim
I'm assuming the Edge and Edge+ don't have esim? I googled it and it seems like the 2022 versions don't at least but the 2023 versions might?

Much better deal is the moto edge Plus 2022 from the boost mobile deal. It's $200 for the phone plus $40 for 1st month service (cancel auto pay) and about $4 for the unlock code from ebay. I have been using it with Cricket for about 3 weeks now and because its performance is way more consistent it feels like an upgrade to my previous pixel 7.
What's the exact model number? Can you check if it works on Verizon by putting in the IMEI here https://www.verizon.com/sales/byo.../imei.html

Thanks

T-Mobile has the 128GB version for free after bill credits with any trade in, any condition. Promo code P444. I just traded an old Motorola V600 at Costco TMobile kiosk and also got a $75 Costco shop card. Not sure if it excludes any plans, but I'm on an old Simple Choice plan and I qualified, I assume it's for any plan.

If a device is not compatible with Verizon does it mean it won't work with Xfinity either? Does anyone know?

Go with a Google Pixel phone instead. Motorola phones are notorious for poor security updates. Pixels will get updates from at least 5 years from the time the phone first came out.

No, Google Pixel phones are junk to rip off people. No SD card slot 😞
