- Add the monitor to your cart: Dell [dell.com]
- I would strongly suggest adding a 5 year service package (details below)
- Chat with a dell representative and request a price match with BH Photo [bhphotovideo.com] currently at 1799.
- Request the representative send you the quote with the price match via email to complete.
- Split your payments among your favorite credit cards (like the Amex Business Plat) to receive $200 off per Amex Business Plat card you use. (some personal cards also have $40 off $200 deals right now)
How is this an "excellent" deal? This monitor is close to be retired by Dell (1-2 years) and upgraded to USB/TB 4. I expect to see some enhancements in the refresh rates and it's contrast. Therefore if you have any issues with this monitor after it is retired Dell will provide a similar monitor as a replacement. By year 5 of the extended Warranty you will probably get a new technology monitor for free.
This monitor is covered under Dell's Premium Panel Exchange [dell.com] which provides generous replacement rules for dead pixels for as long as you have an extended Warranty with Dell. Thus paying $140 for extended warranty is a good bet on getting a new monitor in the future.
Here is how I got to my effective price:
$1799.99 price match
-$200.00 Amex Business Plat #1
-$200.00 Amex Business Plat #2
-$40.00 Amex Personal (40 off 200)
-$179.99 (Amex Business Plat #2 10% CB offer)
-$287.84 (...)
-$31.98 Amex MR Points (1 cpm value - Amex Business Plat #2 has +1 MR promo on Dell)
= 899.28 effective cost for the monitor
= $1028.16 effective cost with monitor & 5 years of 5Y ProSupport with Advanced Exchange

Added: That is also why I said "As Low As" in the title and provided details on how I came up with the number so that others could replicate or determine how they could get close.
For instance, one option is that they could get an additional 10% off by signing up forDell email communications [dell.com]. It increases the price by $40-$60 but it is another option to try and maximize the deal.
Note: it takes about 10-15 minutes to receive the email with your coupon code.
