As ridiculously cheap as this is, you're looking at at least another $5-7 for a 4pk of CR2032 (brands that would likely get 25hrs) every so often. The rechargeable version is a much better option, 3 light modes, and costs $8.66 right now: Energizer Rechargeable LED Book Light Flex, 3 Modes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GQWFZ2Q .

That is not that rare a battery type... Its in tons of car key fobs and they sell them everywhere. i do agree though that this should be rechargeable. it only lasting 25 hours on two coin cells seems pretty bad environmentally. i guess energizer selling a light that eats batteries is kinda their thing though

I will not rest until one of these sits on every retirement home nightstand in the nation.

The battery type, especially rare type, kills it. Nowadays most devices are usb chargeable.

He's right. This would just go into my junk drawer next to a couple of CueCats and I would never use it. Counting off the top of my head, I already own something like 20 flashlights, including things like headlamps.

I've been slowly getting rid of the last of my paper books, with a few exceptions, and I just have my ereader now, and it has a built in backlight.

For $2. Almost nothing is rechargeable. CR2032 is not a rare battery. You can find them in any hardware store and almost every grocery store.

Book Light runs on 2 Energizer CR2032 Batteries (included). CR2032 is not rare.

E-readers are convenient, nothing compared to a book. Though for this use case they have an edge.
