How does it stack up against the Topping ex5 or the Grace m900? I have seen people compalin that it does not have... Bluetooth, potential channel imbalance at low volumes, and audible popping noise during power on/off. Does this popping noise have any negative impact on headphones? Additionally, I've noticed some users mentioning that it can become slightly warm when used in a desktop setup. Does charging and using it simultaneously have any long-term effects on the battery life?

I never had channel imbalance, but not having BT id not the issue for me,,, because bt to me is not audiophile... but conviniencephile
warm, likely yes, because it has battery, so you are constantly charging it. it can def function as a desktop unit, but imo, prob best to be used on balance and a 2year warranty really helps with that, imo
this was their flagship for a long time, until they introduced diablo model.. so this is still their 2nd highest end portable product, so yes, imo better and much more versatile

many settings with headphones + i think 8+ hrs on battery .. it an power really hard to drive headphones with ease
The cost and the warranty make it so I'm considering coming back to iFi. Nice deal!
