I have one of these and I can't find netflix, Hulu or a few banking apps on this device. I believe SafetyNet check is failing.

You can sideload apps by installing the apks but you will not get netflix in hd

The brand is very reputable. They used to be the third or fourth largest brand in the world but now they are the second or third. They are smart enough to not enter the US market in case some stupid politicians interfere free market to gain some profit by claiming every company from China has security issues without any evidence. That's why they beat Huawei in the last two years.

My experience w/ Xiaomi Tablets has been decent so long as u get the Global/EU Firmware. Never had an issue w/ them, they worked well, had more issues w/ Samsung tablets than I did w/ Xiaomi ones. Samsung's OS Locks you in to certain things whereas Xiaomi's is a little more configurable.

Definitely not, Helios G99 is between an SD732G and SD750G.

That's not to say this is a bad deal but nobody should expect this to get close to 8 series.

As someone who lives in central America and has owned several Xiaomi / Redmi phones. These are everywhere. Every other person outside of the USA has something from this brand....headphones, tablets, cell phones, they make electric scooters and all kinds of things. All their stuff has been great and works fine at a fraction of the price of the major companies like Samsung/apple.

Don't care much about politics, so can't comment on the Chinese vs the world stuff.

bought a redmi phone on amazon and it died within 6 months. No warranty cause it was a global device...

Good price. I paid $50 more a few months ago. Runs well but MIUI 14 looks unfinished. For instance in portrait mode only 4 icons across and you can't change it. Wast of screen real estate. No super icons that the chinese version (and my Redmi phone) has. I'm hoping the next update fixes all of this. Speed wise is good for the price. Screen seems to show finger residue on white background.
