To clarify, this version will only get you the Xbox version.
The PC version is sold separately $9.99 for Windows here: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/...lszx?rtc=1

Or pay full price on Steam (which imo is best because of steam deck) -- OR you can get Game Pass.

Also, I have it on Steam and the multiplayer is wonky if you wanna play with buddies. The only way I could get it to work was through LAN and having them on my network.

Yes, it has online but servers might be empty. My wife and I play 4 player split screen slayer with our kids, you can go online as well and play as a team but we haven't tried that.

Halo is my all time favorite online shooter especially cause you can do two or 4 player split screen, but the campaigns have never impressed me that much. The stories are impossible to follow and the gameplay is kind of mild.

The software I mentioned would make your friends' computers join your home network, so they'd be able to join LAN games without having to physically go to your place. But then again it's more fun to have everyone over.
