Ladders are dangerous enough without introducing some unknown generic Chinese manufacturer with no safety certifications into the mix.

Edit: This comment is in reference to the generic Amazon brand linked to in the post I quoted, not Little Giant.

Exactly. Also, Costco's model has U-locks which are not that easy to operate if my memory serves.

How do these compare to Gorilla Ladders [homedepot.com] at Home Depot which goes for $199 for 18' regularly priced?

Both are Type 1A and 300 lbs. Load Capacity. Is it the level and wheels?

I assume, because of wheels and levelers, LG is heavier than Gorilla.

22 foot reach it says. The highest peak on a traditional ranch house with garage, with gable....very tip where it meets together into a point is about 20 feet.

I'm seeing an 18' reach for this model: https://info.littlegiantladders.c.../15417-801

I'm going off the OP's link, 2nd image. Shows a man on it reaching 22 ft. I think the 18 you're looking at is max extension of the ladder, not the max someone can reach safely standing on it

That picture is for the M22 version of the ladder. This deal is for the M17 that has a maximum extended length of just under 15'.
