I don't have experience with this specific CYNC product but I do have their smart light switch. Out of ~30 smart switches, outlets, and other IOT devices, it's the least reliable of them all. In the 1.5 years I've had it, they had multiple instances where their servers were just not working so it could not be controlled from Google Home. In other cases, it just forgets the internet connection and needs to be reset. There's a similar Kasa product that often goes on sale for like $2-3 more so if you're not in a hurry, wait for that one. I have two of them and they haven't given me any issues.

Of all my smart devices, GE has been the most troublesome. The lightbulbs need to be synched (ironic!) as often as twice a month. GE smart plugs are just ok; I prefer KMC smart plugs (scheduling is reliable).

If you are going to Walmart this is one 10 bucks in-store but for some reason I can not find it on the website for sale by Walmart. If you scan it shows up though. It's usually on an end cap on a hanging display. I guess this might be YMMV also.

Same here.. I will say Alexa turn on kitchen light and it won't work and I have to factory reset and resync . I never had to do that with Kasa.

I'll also chime in with my negative experience with a different CYNC product, but mine is a smart plug. I have it running on a daily schedule, and every 3-4 days (best case maybe a week, but that's rare), the schedule will stop working and I'll have to go in and fuss with it. It will also disconnect from the wifi and show a red light. It connects immediately once I open the app and resumes working until it stops again.

In comparison, I have two Energizer smart plugs that are also used on a daily schedule (both for aquarium lights), and I've had those for maybe 2 years and they have never had a single issue.

I bought a similar one previously (GE, but non talk) , and it lasted about two years. As others mentioned, connections were a little flaky. Toward the end of its life, it would turn off momentarily during its on cycle. Replaced with a Kasa outdoor plug, no issues since.

No zigbee no zwave, poor mans smart switch if wifi is the only option, but I guess for $13 its not that bad. Pass for me though as I want all smart home items to be z-wave or zigbee so they can be controlled by a hub, even when there is no internet.

Worst brand of all times in smart lighting. I wish their smart lighting division goes bankrupt. Bought expensive $250 SOL lamp. They completely dropped software support on it and left their customers stranded. Now it is a manual $10 lamp. Have spent hours of time with their support team on issues here and there.
Their light bulbs are worst and keep on losing connection. I finally gave them all away for 50cents each in a garage sale.
Do not buy if you value your life. Seriously!

I'd gladly pay a few bucks more for a bulletproof reliable TP-Link model. Been using one for several years.

On Prime day it was down to about $16 and seems to regularly go on sale.

We've learned to keep it simple with smart home devices and limit it to a few brands. Much easier to support and fewer apps.
