I am looking for a basic running shoe, for a couple of miles runs. Most of the time I'll be using the treadmill. Is this a good shoe for my needs or is it meant primarily for trails?

How are these for walking? Looking for a travel shoe and this is one of the ones on my short list (i want something with some grip as well for the occasional hike or climb when doing touristy things while still being comfortable around town and breathable).
