It uses a external 40W PSU to charge it up. Max charge power is 40W even with a 100W Solar panel, so it basically takes 8h to charge it from 0-100%. The max output would be 40W for continuous operation / UPS mode without discharging the battery. Being LiFePO4, it has very low self leakage and great cycle life. The fan will come on as needed when in operation.

It's a nice unit for camping, power outages, extended laptop life, etc. It is small and light weight. All the specs are good except the charge rate which is why I think they keep dropping in price to unload them. This a great price for the specs given the proper type of applications.

Ironically I have heard of the Tenergy brand for batteries long before I have ever heard of Ecoflow, Bluetti, or Jackery.

Those tower fans are about 50 Watts. This is 300Wh but let's say it converts to 120v at 80% efficiency, so we are at 240Wh. 250 to make it easy.

Should run for 5 hours.

I bought the Bluetti EB3A refurb for $114. Should I return that for this? I haven't received the Bluetti refurb yet. I only need it to back up a modem and network switch during an outage. UPS functionality would be preferred.

So do you think the fan would come on if I use it as a UPS for a model and network switch which uses about 18 watts max? Also, is the power supply separate or in the unit itself? If separate, does it get very hot when plugged in (the Daranener NEO300 had this issue).

power supply is separate
I don't recall it getting very hot when charging from AC
I mostly charge using a solar panel these days.

I did as well, and they should be here in a few days too. I'd say no. The charge rate is much faster on the EB3A and it can properly act as a UPS.

Read my other comment above for more info on the Tenergy. I have the Tenergy too.

For what I need it to do now, I would only need UPS up to 18-20 watts. However, I wouldn't mind the flexibility of being able to handle more than 40 watts as a UPS. i don't mind the price difference but my worry is the lifespan of a refurb battery.

Well, I'm testing your your scenario, lol. I have a LED flood that draws 18W off the unit (per the display) and the fan is not running initially. I let that run and then I put the charger on it to charge it at the same time. Probably over 5 minutes without the fan coming on. Fan just kicked in for about 15s. As it continues to operate, 40s off, 25s on, on the fan.

The power supply is separate and gets warm during the 8h hour initial charge. The unit comes fully discharged.

I'm not worried about a refurb LiFePO4 battery's life cycle. Typically rated in 1000s of cycles vs 100s of cycle on Li-ion. Acting as a UPS you are probably rarely cycling it at all unless you are only charging using solar panels.

Wow thanks, that's really helpful! By the way, how loud is the fan?

I also tested out an Allpower R600. As a UPS, the fan comes on very rarely, but when it does, it's like a jet engine. It can definitely wake you up, even in your closet.

for these cheap units , never discharge 100%. things get weird or recharge times double as the charger attempts to recharge damaged cells. i own another brand name similar to darandaran and while it still works, battery indicator is not reliable any more. assuming same for this brand. this is a good deal to test the waters but i'm opting out permanently if no app tracking bc charging babysitting gets old after the first couple of times. i use my power stations daily

I bought a couple of these 6 months ago for the kids to have in their bedrooms for emergency lighting, and charging phones during outages. They do the job,and have held their charge at 100% for 6 months. Can't complain,
