Be warned the jigsaw is TRASH. As long as you don't need any clean accurate cuts, grab it.

I've used that jigsaw a few times now, i believe all the hate is from using it with the orbital settings turned on. it does make it cut noticably faster but awfully rough. turn it off and it cuts as expected from my experience. the one blade that comes with it is aggressive, i used a fine cut

Already have the circular saw, anyone know if you can buy this and return one of the tools for a partial refund?

I have the circular saw and have used it a few times for small projects. Beware that the blade size on this is REALLY small at 5.5 inches. My local big box store does not even sell 5.5 inch blades. The small size also really limits you if you plan to cut through thicker materials.

it has a 1-11/16" depth of cut, which is enough for sheet goods and 2x4s (unless you want a beveled cut). And Home Depot stocks both Diablo and Avanti 5-1/2" blades in most stores: https://www.homedepot.com/b/Tools...jqZ1z0sjm4

No, you can't return one of the tools in a set like this.

Are the brushless versions of these worth waiting for a deal?

Quoted for truth. I have the 5.5 version and have had to borrow larger saws on several occasions because the cut depth is crazy shallow on this one.

I HIGHLY recommend you buy a size up if in the circular saw market, unless you are buying specifically to cut one thing you know it can do like plywood.

But for a general purpose, or your only circular saw? Get the upgrade.
