What's the verdict on Alien, directors cut or no?

One of those classic movies that is never on streaming services, so I reckon I'll have to buy it to watch in 4k.

I prefer the original theatrical cut of Alien. It's tighter and just an overall better cut of the film. The director's cut does have some really interesting deleted scenes though like the cocoon scene.

Fyi Alien is on HULU. I just checked before buying it. However still bought it since it is a classic and never know when Disney is going to rip it from their services.

With credits it was $9 for Interstellar, Deep Impact and The Peacemaker. I only wish they were MA.
