I just found out T-Mobile had silently dropped my monthly phone promo credits for 2 lines after initially giving me the first month's promo credit saying that I didn't trade in my phones because the phone's IMEI don't match to the lines that they were supposed to be traded in for even though T-Mobile said it doesn't matter.
For example:
Trade-in phone #1's IMEI 01234 for new phone on line #1.
Trade-in phone #2's IMEI 56789 for new phone on line #2.
Store rep canceled my initial trade-in submission above and created new trade-in submission switching the phones's IMEI.
Trade-in phone #2's IMEI 56789 for new phone on line #1.
Trade-in phone #1's IMEI 01234 for new phone on line #2.
Lesson is to pay attention to what the store rep does with your account and retain documentation and chat logs in case T-Mobile silently drops your promo after initially giving you the promo for the first bill.

I kind of want to jump on this deal since I'm on simple choice and it doesn't look like T-Mobile will have any killer trade in deals.
Last deal that I got was $430 via 24 bill credits off an iPhone 13 by trading in a cheap iPhone 4.
This phone seems like a good backup phone. Debating if I should do it or not…

For tax only, it's a no brainer as long as you're going to stay with T-Mobile for two years. If you do it at Costco it's a moneymaker, at which point it would be foolish not to pick at least one up.

OP does not owe you anything. I thank the OP for bringing this deal to my attention. If this deal does not work out for you, that is the risk you took, so it's your responsibility to do your own research.
Who said anything about OP owe me.
I was countering your silly comparison between OP post and the official statement in TM website or app.
If I told you your checking account has $1000, but you check your app and only see $500, which one you trust more?
Unless I missed something, OP direct link didn't show P444 specifically.
But when I looked at my TM app, it clearly showed you need to add a line.
