Thanks for the info. Was looking at the wrong promo of course. *facepalm*
Who said anything about OP owe me.
I was countering your silly comparison between OP post and the official statement in TM website or app.
If I told you your checking account has $1000, but you check your app and only see $500, which one you trust more?
Unless I missed something, OP direct link didn't show P444 specifically.
But when I looked at my TM app, it clearly showed you need to add a line.
It's up to you if you want to take my word, if you don't trust my research just call TMobile or message them on Twitter.
I understand the shop says it requires a line, that is incorrect and the offers page is clear that you just need a paid plan and any device trade in.
I'll be glad to provide other proof but I am definitely not working for T-Mobile. But with this promo they literally paid me a Costco shop card to trade my 20 year old phone for a more recent mid ranger.

With TM promo, it's always something going on.
If you follow the TM promo history, you'd know that even after following the sd user's research steps, some members still got screwed.
I appreciate your post, at least it got me to check my app.
And I saw P444 promo, requiring me to add a line.
Does it mean your research is crap? No.
Most likely TM promo is messed up.
But taking risks aside, who should regular users trust in that case? The info TM placed on the app/site?
Your research?
SD admin?
TM is slippery in its promo these days
