So getting iPhone is better deal for you.
gave them the 2 phones I have from long time ago from some deals, one was LG under boost and one is moto E under sprints I believe,
and after gave them these 2 phones' IMEI#, they said in their system, these 2 phones are showing locked and they won't be able to process the upgrade for me.
these 2 phones are in perfect conditions and even so, they still refused to accept them!!!
so no really any phone any conditions LOL!
I mentioned that and the reps both said yeah, even your phones are broke or damaged, as long as their system is showing they are locked, they can't do it!!
oh well!!

Yes, go5 plan for a total of $155 with autopay
Plan is to collect $400 x 4, get the lines unlocked, see what happens from there. Don't need 4 iphones longer term.
