I called in. Gave the first line which a family member has an s23 ultra or whatever phone it is and the rep says: so you want to go from an s23 ultra to an edge? you know it has to be used for 24 months straight, right?

I'm just worried about timing. after sign up, having phones left to buy.
Called Costco and they told me the phone is locked (to Sprint I think) and there is a chance it won't be accepted as a trade in. So I didn't want to take this chance and pay full price for a Motorola phone.
What are the chances the phone won't be accepted because it is locked? Why would they care if they accept even broken phones?
Should I try calling again and maybe another rep will say otherwise? Still, he might say locked is OK but the phone won't be accepted?
Should I try doing at the store as it was suggested earlier?
The store is kind of far away and I was there recently for grocery shopping. Don't want to go there just for the phone. Will this promo last for another several more weeks?

Each time I am getting the same thing from these reps. It seems like they are reading a script.
-Phone has to be unlblocked
-phone has to be used for 24 months on the line getting the promo in order to get the credits
They are also going through my account and seeing all my devices. They are saying there are a bunch of promos like free Samsung watches. "I see you use an iPhone, we have a free iPhone se promo available"
I don't feel comfortable with them going through my account and seeing all this stuff. Sort of makes me feel like they can make some changes to the account.
