Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

Call 833-428-1765 for Costco TMobile and you don't even have to go to the store at all. I did this deal on Sunday.

Costco for sure, got one right by work!

Looks like I can do 2 phones for both my 2 lines so that's good.

No need for flip or BB as no one wants a iPhone 5S…except this deal lol
check the Costco site and be sure they have tmobile at that Costco location.
not all Costcos have tmobile.
my local Costco used to have all major carriers.
I had to drive out about 30 minutes since the local Costco no longer has tmobile.

I posted this on the other thread for this phone, but just so everyone here is aware, moto is not known for timely updates and has in the past not delivered on promised updates. With this particular model, they have already changed how long they will provide updates (from 4 years to 3 years). Still the best phone you're likely to get for "free", but something to keep in mind.
I think 95% of the smartphone users don't care what OS or security updates they get. My wife, kids, parents, and friends all don't care and do not know what version of android they have.

You're probably right, but with how much confidential info is on smartphones these days, you really should.

ask t-mobile to unlock it (after waiting for 40 days or ask t-mobile immediately via t-force) if you want to sell it via ebay?
T-force via Twitter is NOT budging to unlock the devices as the policy to unlock was changed it seems... The rep tells me that there is no way to override it now and unlock it. Oh well, have to wait 2 years to unlock or pay the full amount now. Bummer laugh out loud

I think the issue is it being an android device and it having an app to do the unlock.

I remember having some old androids and not even tforce could unlock them. They said I needed 40 days of usage. The thing is, I put my iPhone sim in the old android and thought I would be good. Seems like you can't put the sim in a different phone during those 40 days.

Someone else said it's possible to wait the 40 days without keeping the sim in it, maybe things changed since then

Ugh, I want to bite but when I try to do a trade in it says "Estimated trade-in value
Requires Magenta® or Magenta® MAX plan." and I have their One plan. Also no Costco membership atm but I'd be willing to get one if I can do 4 trade ins and get 4*$75!

Just ignore that magenta message. This offer is good for almost any plan.

Has anyone been able to drop off trade-ins at a T-Mobile store? (Old tracfones)
Mine gets hung up on a Select Provider option that doesn't list the 2023 Moto Edge Promo as an option, only the older 2022 Moto promos.
Or should I just print the shipping labels and send them in?

Keep trying Twitter tforce until they bulge. They CAN unlock it from the server side remotely. It all depends on if you get a nice rep or not. I do notice that less and less t-mobile reps like to override unlock eligibility in recent two years. In the past, I could get a nice rep on the first try and now I usually have to try several times. I just stop replying if the rep is unwilling to override and ask again after a few hours to get another rep.

Do you get the moto phone right on the spot at Costco? Or need to wait in the mail?

T-Mobile's system for in-store drop off trade ins is broken for old phones like the tracfone myflip. After entering the IMEI on the tablet, it won't allow you to choose manufacturer/provider/model and the in-store trade-in drop-off process can't be completed and there is no way to override it.
There are 2 options:
1. Some stores will accept your old trade-in phones and they will print out the shipping label, package it and send it to mail/usps for you. Basically the local store mail it on your behalf.

2. You can print out the label and mail it by yourself.

Those two options are actually the same option: mail.

Or just wait a few more days and pray that T-Mobile can fix this system error in the next month.
