These are perfect for occasional use. I've bought a number of different sizes as my kids have grown and never had an issue with them. Used maybe 10-15 times per year until they get outgrown. The adult versions work fine as well. Not waterproof or anything, but good enough for supervising the kids outside. All of mine were purchased from Amazon warehouse at good discounts.

We have these also and use most every day in the winter. No issues. They also have been passed down and still seem fine. In our experience, they do seem to run a bit big. Make sure to take note of the size chart.

Description says DWR so not waterproof but water repellent. Active kids will stain light colored DWR outer wear unless the area is pristine. Best suited for non-slushy snow or you will certainly get wet after prolonged exposure.
I've got a kid who's not overweight at all but he wears husky because he's built like a brick shithouse. He has big legs and he is his rock solid, no fat on him. I guess it can mean multiple things haha.

No that's just for the fat kids.
Older term for larger child/overweight
