I got in with the orginal deal without any issues. There was a lot of misinformation in the orginal thread, but yes, all you have to do it just activate the phone with the fi app, then take the Fi SIM out and never touch it again (sock drawer it, trash it, etc). You can pop in a SIM from another carrier with no problem. After 120 days have passed you can verify that it's finalized in your fi account > savings > earned. At that point you can do whatever you want, the discount is yours to keep.

I think a significant difference here is we are not getting the storage upgrade for free? I got this deal last time but got the s23 ultra with 512gb for the same price as they are offering the 256gb.

The current deal will cost somewhere around 700 to 720 USD considering the billing for 120 days.

Is there a possibility for the price to drop to 500 to 600 USD in the next couple of months either on the Samsung Offers portal or Bestbuy or any other retailer without need of opting for a FI sim card and without any trade in
Not likely

Wait for next year's model
I figured as much. These Samsung upgrades are incredibly incremental. I was just looking at upgrading my Watch from last year's model and they added one feature - skin temperature. Completely worthless. LOL

Thanks for the advice.

The total pricing for the S23 Ultra 256GB alongwith the Google FI Service for 4 months will come to 600 + approx. 120 ( for 4 months billing ) = 720 usd ( approx. ) .

Is there any better offer which can be expected till end of September 2023 on the S23 Ultra especially just before the Iphone 15 Series Launch in September .

I am in the USA till end of September 2023 and was looking to get a steal deal on the S23 Ultra Series with or without trade in .

I am in a dilemma whether to plunge for this offer or just wait out a month or so incase better offers come before the iPhone launch envent
If history is any indication, this is the best price you will get without trade in (just search for S22 ultra deals). Also FI will likely continue this price until Feb 2024 when S24 is released as they have done in the past.

If you look only the camera and processor it's a big upgrade. S24 ultra is rumored to have the same camera system so will not be a big upgrade from S23U. However, instead of using this deal, you can pay only $250 for S23U by trading in the S22U on samsung.com.

The S23 256GB is showing up as 459 and only the 128GB version comes up as 399. Am I missing something?

Im already on Fi and need a new phone. This would be a no-brainer if I could get the s23 256GB for 399.

Can someone verify what price they are seeing?

Those are the prices that I see as an active Fi member. The info in the Deal Description is wrong. Fi doesn't sell a base S23 with 512GB.

First, install and run the Fi app to activate the Fi SIM in the S23. After activation and you want to remove the Fi SIM from the S23, uninstall the Fi app on the S23. The Fi app is a nosy, PITA and will keep nagging that the Fi SIM is inactive if the Fi SIM is not in the phone.

Counting should start about 24 hrs after activation. Based on my experience with several Fi deals, the count is updated each following day around the same time of activation. Wait until the countdown has started before removing the Fi SIM just to be sure.

Did the Fi app say at activation that your service was on another phone and asked for the OK to transfer? If it did, you're in good shape. Your checklist should look similar to the attachments below. (This was an S22 deal for existing Fi member that required only 30 days of service).

You can check the countdown on the web site if you no longer have the Fi app installed on the phone. I'm not sure if activating Fi service on the S23 using eSIM then disabled eSIM is a good idea. With most of the Fi deals that I've done, I used the physical Fi SIM and just removed the SIM from the phone (along with uninstalling the Fi app). The only Fi phone that I activated with an eSIM was a Pixel 7 that Fi didn't ship with a physical SIM. After activation, I left the Fi eSIM alone and used another provider's physical SIM in it.
Keep checking your countdown. If it does not countdown, or you get a message from Fi or a yellow exclamation in your checklist saying your Fi service is not active, then enable the Fi eSIM.

Wasted 3 days talking to customer support and porting in my number but only see the offer on Galaxy Z Fold 4. Tried explaining to Fi support the offer and to make an exception but didn't work.
The only good part was I was able to cancel my service in 3 clicks and will get back credit.

Wonder if there is an option of starting the service with a new number and then porting your number in after you get the S23?
