I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

Very tempted but I already got too many phones recently.
Edge+ is very high-end flagship with luxury specs, the only thing is some models have a curved screen.

Had previous boost and disabled autopay online, then found out they tried to charge my card anyway. Didn't check the app as phone was never setup. Good thing i put it down as virtual number and disposed it after. Remember to either disable in both web and app or block the card.

The title should say $205, not $150. There isn't any way to get this phone for $150 is there?
Quote from Cheapy Stuff :
Correct. You're looking at $190+tax since $40 service is required.
corrected. now reads:

Motorola edge+ 2022 + 1 month Boost service ($40), ***PRICE LOWERED *** Now ONLY $150+$40+tax(~15)=~$205

Yep, same thing happen to me, twice. Check your purchase method, I was still charged twice. I got a refund when I called, but no help in ordering a phone.

I wasn't charged. I tried again 10 minutes ago and it worked. Not sure why it failed first time.

I used paypal. They charged me, but said my payment was declined. Payment went through on paypal side. Pretty pathetic...

Once unlocked, will this phone work on Verizon's 5G network with no compromises and does it have eSIM?

e-sim is disabled on the boost variant, and AFAIK, no one has found a way to enable it.

The phone is probably missing the 5G UW bands that Verizon uses, but someone else will have to confirm whether or not this is accurate...

I appreciate that info. That's a no-go for me without eSIM. Thanks.

This phone doesn't have an eSIM. The 2023 version has an eSIM that no one has reported been able to use.

What do people do on phones that require UW 5G...?

You might not have actually been charged ... what you are seeing are pre-authorizations and they show up on your CC or bank account as "Processing" or "Pending" or something similar.

If they actually charged you, you'll see in a couple days the charge is there but without the "Processing" or "Pending".
