I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

I did your method and got charged again with the same error "payment declined please try again" now I have 2 charges from boost on my PayPal account with no confirmation of payment or anything.
I also had similar issue with Paypal. DO NOT use Paypal with Boost. Paypal declined my refund despite I have not received anything from Boost. Now I am at the mercy of credit card company to get me refund.

I haven't read through the 30 pages, but as a Boost Dealer, I would say that the newer version is the better (slightly) deal. Of course, it hurts us dealers for people to order from Boost, but I recognize that it is often more cost effective.

The 2023 is basically an S23 made by Motorola. I see getting that one as another year of updates, a better processor, and a phone that will probably be usable for longer (future proofed).

Or come to my store to get it please....

Can't beat the price. I ordered 5 days ago and got it yesterday. I used virtual cc card. My build date showed 5/22. So it went thru several updates.
I went into boost account and turned off autopay.
Went on eBay, paid my 2.00 unlock code. Put in my t-mobile sim and done.
Easy Peasy
Would you please IM me the seller you purchased the code from? TIA
Also, once you put the T-Mo sim, are you still seeing Boost bloat? What is the T-Mobile speed you are getting LTE or 5G?

no need to read 30 pages.
just read the wiki

next.
went to boost dealer. they had nothing in stock
btw..where is your store that u want folks to come to

finally . sure 2023 better. but is it $250 better?
for some folks like me.
even the ~$200 price for 2022 would be pushing it since
many budget phones like a54 are "almost" as good as these flagship.

and now a moto flagship which is suspect based on 2 key points.
1 camera 2. updates/patches

just my 2c

Does it mean that this mobile would never receive an OTA update once unlocked?
SIM unlocking the phone shouldn't impact the OTA updates. I've had prior SIM unlocked phones that continued to receive OTAs.

I did the check on TF site it said my phone is compatible. Did you get a new sim you can activate online. I'm using up the data before I try to switch it over.
Did you do the check for Tracfone verizon? I know it is Tracfone GSM compatible. But my mom account is on Tracfone Verizon. Her area gets best coverage with verizon. Most important for me is to be able to call her.

Ya that's what I thought too but recently they allow again to bring GSM phones with their GSM sim cards. When I tried the check it says compatible on tracfone GSM network. Then it tells you to buy a new GSM sim card
