I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

If you log in to your account you should see boost as one of the rewards merchants. Click the link through that when you order.

That said, I did that when I ordered it about 10 days ago and I have no sign of the cashback (justthe regular 1.5%).
Mine shows get $21 statement credit

A little more info. I am using reseller RedPocket ATT so the sim card situation may not apply to me. The RedPocket is recent so my testing is limited.
The RP sim card doesn't get 5g signal at all with Boost Moto Edge Plus.
It gets 5g signal on all my other phones. This includes Boost Moto G Stylus 5g 2022, Metro PCS Moto G Stylus 5g 2022 and of course all my factory Unlocked phones.
My Boost Moto Edge Plus is on the latest software.
The APN looks the same for my phones Boost Moto Edge Plus and Boost Moto G Stylus 5g 2022. Both APN says Reseller and other settings looks the same.
Also like others have mention it has no problem getting 5g on my T-Mobile sim.
This is very concerning. And quite odd makes me think that Motorola is not being clear on what exactly is happening with this 2022 edge plus. Maybe it's completely abandoning the phone

I dont believe so..reports and messages show that android 13 is now being released for the moto edge+ 2022. Carriers (metro, boost etc..) will be slower to release than the oem version though.do a google search and you will see a few threads where people have update to A13

Yes, I have seen some posts on android 13 update for the moto edge+ 2022. Probably be a slow roll out. I'm not in any hurry anyway.

Does Boost Mobile blacklist addresses? I've been getting "Payment Declined" over the last couple of days. I've tried different email addresses, phone numbers, and credit cards (including a virtual card specifically for the Boost Mobile store). Went incognito in Chrome, still had the same problem. Contacted Boost via chat, they had the same issue at their end, but didn't have any idea why. Contacted my credit card issuer -- they don't see any declines on their end. About the only constant is my mailing address. I'm running out of ideas for workarounds.
I was having this issue too. And also getting the "invalid email address" message. Finally got it to work:

I waited 48hours then I made sure the VPN was off, used Chrome with all trackers/blockers disabled, and used a real CC number. Any alias/mask email addresses I tried were rejected as well so you'll need to use an older, legit email address.
I hope this might help anyone trying to purchase.

Hi Kangaroomba, thanks for your reply. I use Verizon postpaid (5G Do More), which has 20GB hotspot. And the hotspot works fine on my iPhone and Pixel 4. However, when I try to use the hotspot on Moto Edge Plus, I see the popup which says I need to contact Verizon customer service to turn on hotspot service.

Verizon business account. Not MVNO.
Already contacted support and they are trying to fix it for almost a week now.

Possibly a long shot, but this takes only a minute to check, so here goes. I was getting the exact same error with Visible (uses Verizon towers) when trying to enable tethering. What fixed it was turning off data saver (see screenshot). So, make sure yours isn't turned on.

Just tried mobile hotspot with Verizon and it's definitely working for me.
Did you disconnect WiFi before you enabled hotspot?

There's a way to cross flash retail FW, but you lose OTA and would need to manually flash updates

Yes. I surfed the web a little and ran a couple speed tests.

I'd be totally on board, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on it. I see where people mention it, and issues, but nothing definitive.
