Very unlikely your laptop screen is display input capable. You'd have to use this computer standalone in addition to the laptop and RDP into it or something. You'd be better off just buying a nicer portable monitor also if that was your planned setup.

I cant wait for the 6000 series stuff to get to these price points cause the iGPU on those are crazy powerful for their efficiency. MiniPCs are getting super good value.

Wish they had something like this with a dedicated GPU. Not a nice one mind you, just a basic on that can support gameplay better than the built-in graphics cards. Then I can leave this down by the TV for games and get a super light laptop for travel.

Bought this one recently. DisplayPort works fine. HDMI does not. Seems to be a common problem with this model. Ended up returning.

same boat here. i can't decide to go with a this one (5800u) or a newer one like the 7735hs, and also wonder about the noise level too.
Aim for something with the 780m gpu (if you wait), I don't think the 7735 has it.

It's 30 below the lowest price it's ever been. "Regular price" doesn't include a couple of random few day long sales in a 7 month old product.
This has been $329 pretty consistently for at least the last 2 months

If you get one with the 680m or even better 780m they do a good job on medium gaming. But minisforum has the HX80g or the hx99g that have a 6600m dgou but they are a little bigger than these ones. You could also look at the nuc 12 enthusiasts

"Best price I've seen for a mini PC with this level of CPU"

Bought the Beelink SER5 Pro with the Ryzen 7 5800H for $287 just last week on Amazon. Slightly better price, slightly better performing CPU (with a higher TDP). Since I don't really need the extra performance at this time, this 5800U is almost more appealing. But I everything I hear is the Beelink is pretty cool and quiet.

We need a 680m/780m APU at this price or it's not worth it.

Really? Lowest I saw was the Trigkey 5800H for $300. I've been tracking the Ser5 Pro and never saw it that low

Yes, it was from Beelink Direct seller. It was during Prime Days I guess, so maybe that was the extra boost. It was $319.20 and there was a 10% coupon to click.

yeah im more inclined to jump on this as I am leaning more towards amd as opposed to intel...I was going to do the minisforum 5600H but this comes with ssd, ram, and windows...but im also leaning towards waiting it out longer for better deals now that intel nucs are no more.

I have no idea why this has 1 hdmi and 1 dp port....
NUC continues. Intel and Asus got into an agreement and Intel passed to torch. https://www.intel.com/content/www...ement.html

"Ace Magician" the name you can trust. Probably janky bios and zero firmware updates. Also Chinese.

Interesting, but it's annoying that the product photos don't show the rear ports (and the user submitted images look like they're for different models). Can you upload an image of the rear for the one that you bought? Will rep.

So what are your recommended alternatives for Windows users?

Question regarding this deal, is it the same PC as this [youtube.com] but with an upgraded CPU? I'm trying to find a video review so I can hear how loud it is under load, but not having much luck so far. If anyone can share a link, it would be much appreciated.

Can this be used with a USB-C dock? Want to run USB-C to a Dell WD19S dock which will have three monitors attached (2x DP, 1 HDMI).

Will the dual function USB-C port on this PC support this?
