Very unlikely your laptop screen is display input capable. You'd have to use this computer standalone in addition to the laptop and RDP into it or something. You'd be better off just buying a nicer portable monitor also if that was your planned setup.

I cant wait for the 6000 series stuff to get to these price points cause the iGPU on those are crazy powerful for their efficiency. MiniPCs are getting super good value.

The SER5 Pro for $219? Now that I would like to see. There's so many listings to comb through in Amazon, I only found one that went below $300 with a coupon. I think the ones with the 5500U in it were hard to find below $250, so a 5800H machine at $219 is insane. And a little hard to believe.

Nope. It will run for sure, but not at the highest presets unless you bump the resolution down which wouldn't look as good as native 1080p.

You're best bet for current games is to wait for the new 7000 APUs. Granted they won't be nearly as cheap as 300$ on release, asthis article [extremetech.com] sums up what you can expect from a mini PC with a Ryzen 9 7940H launching for just under 1000$:

I would go with an intel model for Plex due to quicksync, which helps immensely with transcoding.
