Probably not the best price for these but a very decent price if you're in the market to pick some of these up. I was impressed with the quality of them as I think some Kobalt tools are hit and miss. These look like keepers! They are marked down in store as well as online.

i have this set. used three times and have 3 broken ones already. They can not tighten without breaking internals. had one that the seal popped off first use and fell apart.. Not like they used to be.
Honestly in 25 years of wrenching, I can't say I've ever rounded a nut with a 12 point wrench. I get the concept, but I have never personally seen it... I suspect it's more user error not properly seating the wrench on the fastener, which would be a problem for any tool.
Gearwrench can be in-store swaps as well, depending on the store and their inventory. But even if you don't have a local place to do it, you still don't have to mail it in. They have an online form[gearwrench.com] to fill out, snap a few pics, and receive a replacement in the mail a few days later.

Kobalt/Craftsman easier warranty same as HD Husky. All the house brands will be the easiest dont have deal with mailing back.

SAME, very disappointed with every swap process at Lowes.
I've had a broken 1/4 wrench out of a bigger craftsman mechanics tool set for years. This set was bought at sears when they still were around. I recently discovered that Lowe's honors the lifetime warranty and had 0 problems exchanging my broken wrench for a new one. Just had to take the new one to customer service and they did an even swap. Only downside was that the new one, despite having the same part number, was visibly lower quality than the original one (the casting/machining was way less precise), but I guess better than a broken one with nice casting.

I found this set on clearance at my local Lowe's for roughly $28 last week. It says it's $19.47 now. They're not ratcheting but they work well enough for myself
Death to 12 point and to all the rounded nuts they have born.

I've seen youtube guys round the corners of the nuts off with a grinder first before showing that 6-point is better than 12-point. Basically, if you have a decent wrench and non-rounded fasteners, the 6 or 12 point debate is irrelevant.

I have seen it personally. Even if it IS because of user error, why risk it? If I'm grabbing for a wrench instead of a socket, chances are good it is going somewhere tight, dark and hard to access (and with my luck, rusty). That said, these wrenches look pretty light duty anyway so 12 point might be appropriate here.

edit: Leaning toward Gearwrench, the complaints seem to be mostly about missing sizes, Kobalts seem to have plastic internals that break.
