It looks like it can be used for bikes, car hinges, co2 air guns, skateboards, sliding doors and windows and more.

Does that include "usual" free shipping as well?

I understand HD's typical price point is $3.99; however, I think actual MSRP may be higher, as multiple other retailers sell this for > $7. Here's another example: Grainger [grainger.com] at $7.58.

I think now's a good time to buy, as today you get a discount and free shipping. Tomorrow, higher price and no free shipping.

I just purchased the "regular" 3 in One at HD, so I don't need this.

However, is there any particular reason to use the silicone version? Is it just more durable?

The silicone seems to last longer than the OG version, at least on door hinges(fridge room doors, and car doors/trunk).

Grainger buys from Home Depot, then doubles the price to resell.

Different situations call for different types of lubricants. Never hurts to have options.

There are somethings that shouldn't get petroleum based lubricants, especially things that are exposed to higher oxygen levels, because they can increase the chance of fire. I've been told that you should always silicone lubricants on Scuba equipment especially tank valves, but silicone is better for all gear that you don't want petroleum products on.

Interesting if true. Okay, then: Ace Hardware's price is $7.99, Lowe's is $5.98.

Home Depot is $3.19 today with free shipping. Smilie
