I have this in 65" size and it is incredible. Everything is vibrant, it is incredibly bright and the blacks are impressive with the mini LED local dimming zones.
The Samsung is better than the Hisense and the Hisense is better than the TCL

Stay clear of this tv. I have 65 inch version and its UI is very slow. Even after so many firmware updates, it isnt any better. Go for LG OLED.
Tizen OS has been horrible for some years. I have the QN90B and S95B. I keep them offline and I use an Apple TV 4K with both TV's. I also bought an older Samsung remote with rubber buttons so I could hit the input button and change inputs quickly.
The QN90B is a much better TV. The QN90C utilizes an ADS panel instead of your typical VA panel. The true successor of the QN90B is the QN95C, but it's super expensive and not readily available.

As for the 55" size, I needed a 55" and that was the largest size I could accommodate in a bedroom cabinet
Based on you sale price numbers, you make me very glad I bought a QN90A( which according to rtings.com is very similar to the QN90B) in a 65" for $685 last year

And... the latest Rtings ratings mentioned of R655 (8.5), QN90B (8.4), U8H (8.3) are misleading because the QN90B and U8H have been updated to Rtings' Test Bench 1.11 while the R655 has yet to be updated. What do you recommend that has a better UI that has absolutely no loss in picture quality ie panel uniformity, color accuracy, black levels, brightness and upscaling to name a few?
I think I mentioned in my comment previously. LG OLED and its better in every way. With newer OLED Models you do not even have to worry about burn ins so much. The only thing that can be questioned is OLED brightness but I would take less brightness over bad/slow UI/OS any day.

For those that buy this TV, do yourself a favor and download the SmartThings app and do the professional calibration from the app. It does a fantastic job getting a settings 99% dialed in allowing you to tweak from there. Picture will be so much better than factory settings and you can always reset if needed. Contrast and colors etc are so good after the calibration.
I've heard doing this restricts certain picture settings from being manually adjusted afterwards, resulting in the need to reset the TV to gain access. I haven't done it and the picture quality works for me.
It is really bad model of TV. I have 85" same model. The screen is too hot so it fried the boards two times. Technicians came and replaced new board and also mentioned that the model was bad. Then TV was dead again third time yesterday and waiting on Samsung service team to call me. Don;'t buy it.
I'm sorry to hear that. From when I was heavily researching TV's, I think I recall that some 85" models were different in construction to the smaller sizes. The issues you had could be a matter of the size of the TV. It still should not happen, of course, but I didn't hear a reason to stay away from this model when I bought it (55").
