We're really acting like this is a good price?

Have we just given up on expecting reasonable prices for products now?

Costco has their Neutrogena SPF 60+ on sale until tomorrow, $13.49 for a 2-pack of 8.5oz cans. Comes to $0.79/oz vs $0.80/oz for this. Should be even cheaper in-warehouse as well.

Also note that many of the Neutrogena sunscreens were found to contain Benzene (a carcinogen) Several of those found to contain this were sprays in their Beach Defense line which I think is the deal you are mentioning. The 60SPF was not tested but others in the same product line being tested and finding it is enough to make me not want to use any. Use at your own risk.

I'm pretty sure those were recalled quite a while back. I received a refund from neutrogena during the recall for ones I purchased through amazon, and from Costco for those from there.

Edit: recalled July 2021

I am sure you are correct on the recall -- they only recalled because they got caught by a 3rd party testing lab. With so many other options for spray/sunscreen on the market which have no evidence and tested fine for "No Benzene" why would I go back to the brand where most of their products failed. It's not like researchers are continuously testing it so who knows if they went back to old ways or not. Either way, they flunked once -- why would you recommend them again. We are talking about a 0.01/oz difference between a sunscreen which has been shown to contain carcinogens vs. one that hasn't. I know where I'd put my money.

I've looked at the sunscreening agents in many sprays, and they're mostly the same, so I just buy the Walmart brand (Equate). I think they were $7.88 for a 2-pack. I used to only use the mineral lotions, but it would leave white marks all around my car interior. The sprays are much easier to use at any angle so no more missed spots on the back. As for the aerosols I'm probably breathing in, it's worth the risk over the risk of skin cancer for me.

Completely agree avoiding Neutrogena sunscreen at all costs. I used to use that on my kids and definitely don't trust them. Also when the recall was done it was a pain to turn them in and get a rebate. Forget it.

Banana Boat and Coppertone FTW
