That is CHEAP! About less than buying new tines for one.

Used my Amex rewards points for a Home Depot gift card and jumped on this. Thanks!

Yeah blew my $30 I had in 11% rebate egift cards to get for $170 plus tax. I was bummed I missed this the other day. This beats that rear tine Legend Force deal that has 3.8 stars and many complaints. This sucker is 4.5 stars!

FYI, a lot of the reviews appear to be for other Champion models, including a rear tine tiller model. If you scroll through the reviews and pics, you'll see what I mean. I hate it when they do that. Regardless, Champion usually makes pretty good quality products, has good customer support, and a decent parts supply. That's why I went with this one instead of the Legend Force deal the other day, although rear tine is much easier for breaking ground, getting deep, and covering larger areas.

Oh wow good call on the reviews. Several other Champion products had high reviews compared to other Legend Force products so felt comfortable with that.

You're right on the rear tine for breaking new ground. I'm in SW OH with tons of hard clay. I broke ground renting a gem of a Honda engine and tine tiller from HD and man oh man that thing cut like butter through that clay. It was unfreaking believable. But I looked up the price of those and holy hell they are like $5k+! Lmfao

So this Champion front tone should till that soil well. I amended the soil with 50:50 sand and compost.

Champion is a good brand. Have a champion generator and pressure washer. Both have been great. Generator was damaged during shipping and they sent me parts via overnight shipping. The tiller comes with a 2 year warranty. Can't speak to this particular model but we used a front tine tiller to help cut in a road on the side of a hill and broke new ground for a garden with it in se ky. Worked great

IMO, I would go with this one: https://slickdeals.net/f/16811783-20-legend-force-4-cycle-212-cc-gas-gear-drive-tiller-199-free-shipping?page=1#commentsHeader

I almost bought this Champion 2 months ago and ended up getting one like the link above with the real tires. I'm afraid the dinky tires on this one would be a big detriment.

Yeah the small tires on the champion made me go with the force

Good call. I ordered the Force one the other day and looked at this drawn in by the brand name. I'd rather have rear tine for my use and then once I read your comment on the tires I feel better about my purchase.

I own a Honda fg110 and don't even have the tires installed on mine. The rolling tines have no problem propelling the tiller forward. Maybe I'm using it wrong but, I would go with whatever has better build/engine quality . just my 2 cents.

I can't decide between this or the legend force. I already ordered the legend force when it was first listed but it hasn't shipped yet

The reviews and recommendations are much better on this unit over the Legend Force one.

Makes me wonder if I should return the LF one.

61% recommend the LF and 94% the Champion.

Just noticed my LF hasn't shipped either. Now wondering if it's ever going to ship.

Decided to order this one and return the LF one if it ever arrives. This comes with a 2-year warranty, something I paid an extra $25 on the LF for, has much better recommendations and reviews, and the variable width might come in handy.
