I saw this on Friday. It was good but I thought the first third of the film could have used a fair amount of editing down. Also not sure this one benefitted from the IMAX format all that much either. Not a bad film but certainly not the modern classic some are making it out to be.

was it the 70mm version you saw?

i'm confused with IMAX at AMC and IMAX at AMC 70mm

There are only about 19 theaters that are true 70mm IMAX https://www.imax.com/news/oppenhe...-imax-70mm
You probably saw just 70mm w/o IMAX which is to say the projectors are not IMAX but still 70mm film.

Regular IMAX is just a lie-max which is completely digital.

For Oppenheimer, Nolan himself recommends seeing it in 70mm IMAX(only 19 theaters in US) or at least 70mm any projector.

Well not me, haven't seen it yet, but I am surrounded by 3 true 70mm IMAX theaters.

It was the digital IMAX I saw, not "true" IMAX. Most people who see IMAX will see it this way. There are only 30 theaters worldwide that will be showing a true 70mm IMAX experience…

No, he's right it's $.50. Takes 5000 points at AMC for the $5 reward. 500 points (4 tickets) at Fandango will get you a $5 reward that expires in three weeks time.
