I ordered one of these last week and everything works great except for the Wi-Fi adapter. Wi-Fi works but is limited to 16 mbps. My unit benchmarks where it should. This thing is a steal at this price.

This a refurb/modified unit, Dell is not the OEM anymore. The OEM is "SJ COMPUTERS LLC", all support and "warranty" is through them.

These are not able to run Windows 11 and are DDR3. i3 of the last few years will outrun this computer with support for modern hardware. Windows 10 support ends in little over two years from now, EOL date is Oct 15, 2025. You're at best paying for a GTX-1660 Super.

This should be pretty okay for some 1080p e-sports and gaming… for the price.

You can install W11 on any computer that came with at least windows 7 on it. Probably more.

You can upgrade, but not recommended. Just do a clean install of W11.

It takes less than 10 minutes to google it and perform the tasks needed… 15 minutes if you don't know computers… /s

7 came out in 2009. TPM 2.0 in 2014. Who is going to buy a refurb with a decade old CPU just to do a janky registry edit to get around a hardware requirement... and especially do it while still maintaining some dignity?.

Somebody that can only afford a $350 gaming laptop and wants Windows 11.

It's not janky. It's very easy. Some computer gurus just figured out how to get passed Microsoft's bs excuse to try and force everyone to buy a brand new computer to have an up-to-date Windows experience.

That teeny registry edit could save jillions of pounds of e-waste… I'd say the vast majority of people don't need more than one of these old pcs…

I mean I would sorta agree. But most will buy this because its states gaming PC. The average joe isn't upgrading their PC components every gen. Most likely its an family member wanting to buy someone an gaming machine to play Fortnite/MineCraft/GTA. Or whatever kids game today. You really are paying just mainly for the GPU. Everything else is super old. Even if it works fine and is decent enough. Without the GPU, I think its pointless to spend any on it. LOL.

Dell i-6500 were just $60-70 at the dell refurbished website, a 1660 super used is only around $100.. . This computer should only be $150 max. Ddr3 is dirt cheap, and dell optiplex refurbished like this one with all used parts shouldn't be priced like a new computer. The seller deceptively keeps the CPU gen off of the description and has a very low rating, 3.7 stars. Read the complaints.

Complaints are probably from people expecting a 13th gen i7 for $350... 🤦 ♂️

$150 max? Ok, but you're paying for someone to put it together and ship it to you... Convenience has a price.
