I took a trip and paid for the flight with points but charged the security fee on the Alaska credit card. My bag and my kids bag were free.
Does Alaska let you decide how much gift card you want to apply to the flight purchase....for example if flight is $410, can you apply $400 gift card (of a $500 gift card), and $10 to credit card?

Past years, they have allowed you to show the ticket counter employee your Alaska credit card and they would apply free first bag for everyone in your party but I'm not sure if that's the case anymore with the new changes this year - new Alaska cc need to spend $6k this year in order to get their companion fare + increase annual fee to $95 (up from $75)
10% off + 2% from Costco executive, so essentially $50 + $9 = $59, so 12% off. Alaska credit card gives you 3 miles per dollar spent on Alaska. 4 times the value with this deal vs. Alaska cc if you value Alaska 1 mile = 1%
