Nah I've been debating on buying this very product for a project I'm working on. It's been $13 and up everywhere I've been. A little under $6 isn't bad

I'd say yes. I had some on the shelf for years and the consistency turns to jello vs jelly so very hard to apply. It still worked but application was not easy. Not sure if you can mix with something to thin out, but yes there is a shelf life.
