Capable low-mid tier budget gaming desktop, should probably consider more ram and another SSD which are inexpensive at the moment.

Walmart seems to be clearing out some gaming desktops and laptops, locally I saw an Ibuypower (sku 422443687) with a 3060 and other slightly better components @$820 but it's $1600 online and brickseek doesn't show inventory even though it is there so it might simply be worth a trip to wallyworld if you are in the market.

If you can find it in store, lots of walmarts have it on clearance for under $500. Also, it's ram picky, but this works well in it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title

As someone has stated the RTX 3050 desktop is significantly more powerful than the laptop version.

Having said that. This isn't a good deal for a desktop

The performance of 3050 looks like somewhere between 1060 and 1070, if you are not up to date with the new gpus like me, here ya go.

3050 also has DLSS support so that would provide some longevity vs a 10-series card.

We saw a 5600x 3060 for $30 more just recently. This isn't a good deal in comparison. Idk why it's getting so much thumbs up.

edit: And it was 32gb ram vs 8gb here. This kinda sucks...
