Deal Details
Quick Notes:
1. only new orders qualify!
2. $4000 for MSRP (RWD Model 3 qualify, you can search the website to determine).
3. $1500 for MSRP (Tesla Model Y).
4. Above incentive is limited by $25/EPA rated miles, so theoretically any car with MSRP < $45K and 160 miles should qualify for $4000.if you want to be sure, ask them via email or phone (https://chargeup.njcleanenergy.com/).

Tesla is also much more affordable with no NJ sales tax, and a combined $9000 to $11500 Fed/NJ incentives (the cheapest Model 3 is now less than $29K if you qualify for both incentives).

Wow didnt know NJ didnt charge sales tax on EV. that is huge. kudos to NJ for realizing that the sooner your state goes EV the better your air quality gets. im amazed everytime i visit brooklyn and manhattan how smoggy the air is, its disgusting compared to bay area.

There is zero reason this shouldn't be in to the other Tesla thread.

seriously no sales tax? it costs like 10% in CA for god sakes and it means 5000 extra in taxes alone too bad cant buy in NJ and bring it back to CA as you need to pay registration fees.

Just a note for anyone in the tri-state area. This is only applicable to NJ residents and you must live in NJ for 2 years after the purchase too

No, because the tax credit goes to the owner of the car-- which is the leasing company.

You MAY find a leasing company willing to pass some or all of the value of the credit through to you inside the terms of the lease though- YMMV on that one.

Will be in the market for an EV in a year or two, but of course across the river here in PA, they've been moving forward with the bill that charges EV owners extra since the state misses out on all the gasoline tax revenue.
