I love this docking station. Using it for my Rog Ally, Steam deck and laptop... Works flawlessly.. Only thing I don't like is the short USB-C cord.

If you're talking about the Anker 556 that Amazon links to on the product page as the 'newer model', that is nearly double the price. While it also has other features besides the longer cable they make it more attractive (higher-res and refresh-rate video support, apparently uses USB4), it's in such a different price class that mentioning it makes no sense.
Meanwhile, the 555 is broadly similar to this but has fewer ports, doesn't have a longer cable, and is only a few dollars cheaper.
