I've owned this for quite some time. I've abused it. It just keeps working and still looks like I just unwrapped it, so it's well-made. Historically, it has periodically gone to this sale price. One could buy cheaper models but, dam, it's built well and very reliable. Unlike cheap no-name brands, I never got any issues with the cable, or connector, or ports deteriorating, loosening, fraying, or otherwise, causing connection issues. The ports are made to a very accurate spec for a snug fit.

Since I bought this 3-4 years ago for the same price on a nice sale at $9.99, the current price would be about $7.99 back then (considering inflation), so I think it's a good price given the quality and reliability. But it's not a powered hub, should you need that instead. However, lots of things don't need to be powered, so no extra power cable needed to carry around with this one.

Nice, thanks! Ordered the Ugreen Ethernet hub for $2 more a couple days ago, can send it back when it arrives. Don't need the Ethernet on that one and this one has 4 usb ports vs the Ugreen's 3. This works out better for my use case (extending and expanding the usb port on my monitor to a more easily reachable hub)

Ditto, it's a great USB expansion port and very reliable. Still have a few laptops with the old style USB port.

I have 2 of these from a previous sale that stay plugged in. No complaints, I love the extra long cable so it can reach my desktop PC's rear port. Would buy again if I needed one

If I try to use my Visa to pay, "ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK."
If I use my Discover, it is in stock and available.

Interesting.

As others have said, this is pretty bulletproof. The only caveat is that it's unpowered, so while a keyboard, mouse, thumb drive or printer will happily hang off it, don't expect to charge a phone or use an external hard drive. Mine is currently handling a keyboard, mouse, Yubikey, and Blackmagic DaVinci license dongle.

Does it keep its speeds? I bought an off-brand one and the speed kept going to 0 MB/s every 5 seconds.

I've been using this for awhile too, been working fine for me. I think the speeds have been fine when I've transferred from my phone into external HD...

No USB-C...
This is my issue. I've been looking for a usb-c only hub, but they don't seem to exist (or are from unknown companies). Most want to be "docks".

I just wan a Usb-c hub with 4 or so ports.... optimally with a removeable input (unlike the one here, but I could work around that).
