Acme tools has it for the same price and you can use code: TOOLGUYD for additional $10 off.

Edit: they charge $6.49 shipping, so it's only $3.5 cheaper

These clamps are pretty specific to woodworking. For general handyman stuff some trigger clamps might be more useful (and definitely cheaper).

Pretty good deal for parallel jaws. Even cheaper than the Harbor Freight version. Even though I prefer the Jorgensen stuff, I doubt that you could go wrong with these.

I like the HF ones for the money better with the lifetime warranty and easy exchange at HF if something does happen. These, assuming the same as HF, will eventually end up wearing away at the bar and will start slipping

Lowest price in 4 years according to Camel. Can't resist. Probably should order more.

This something to get with no use or projects for but could be in the future because of the price?

I do general handy work around the house, gardening and gun builds and maintenance.

Thank You.

Thought about some woodwork for beds and trellises but avoiding it in general since its not as modular as cinderblocks, string trellis and no bed options.

Save your $$ and get Jorgensen or Bessey. Also only useful for cabinetry and cutting board type. Awkward to store unless you have wall space.

Tempted, but I've never used parallel clamps. In what situations would these be better than pipe clamps, especially since you can use twice as many pipe clamps for the money?

A few of the youtube woodworkes (Wood Whisperer and 731 maybe?) talked about the deflection on this being one of the worse, and behind Bessy and Bremen's, which they had ranked #1 and #2 best overall, respectively. Does that matter during a glue up you want to keep flat?

The deflection matters, but all clamps will deflect. I always use a batten across the ends - and maybe the middle if the piece is wide enough - to keep things flat. I have expensive clamps and I have cheap clamps. Some are better than others but there are ways to use cheap clamps with good success.

I'm definitely in for a set.

The jaws stay parallel, it's important when gluing up long boards for a table top for instance.

This guy agrees with you. Wood Whisperer also had a favorable 4 month review, but said one lost it's ability to grip. That's where the lifetime guarantee comes in. They were 27.99 during 4th of July. I was doing research because I'm a novice and haven't used any
